I have been jointing and planing some construction wood all weekend for... some display thing my wife wants me to build her for craft shows. I was thinking the pieces I ended up with could almost be used to make a table - then I stumble on this video, and I need a new dining room table. Perfect!

what are your drawer opening heights? what did yu cut your spacers too?

hmm, you put too much trust in osb. I guess if you keep the weights low, you'll be fine, but hitting some studs is still recommended.

I love the Table Saw Outfeed and Assembly Table and would love to upgrade it with the drawers. But somehow the plans are not available... Did you remove them or is something going wrong on my end? Really like your vids...👍👍

Just started building mine - a word of wisdom to all those using metric lengths - 2400mm is NOT the same as 8ft! it's a little short of 8ft, so when looking at the cutting diagram in the free plans, pieces 14 and 15 will make the cross pieces a little too short. I suggest that you cut a couple of 'shims' from the offcuts of the other lengths and glue them to the ends of the cross pieces before you pocket hole them. Other than that Zach has made a fantastic bench with easy to use plans. I cannot wait to finish it. Oh and Zach, with prices as they are now for wood, this came out at £190 ($241), that is with an MDF top (I'll buy stick on melamine) and no edge trim. I love watching your builds. Keep the videos coming.

Dump 3D printing, go laser engraving. It supplements woodworking and allows you to build customized products for clients. I’d recommend going with Roly lasermatic for laser. Don’t bother with the big CO2 lasers they’re huge and loud and hard to maintain. You can build a nice table for the laser and I will love to see what you can come up with. While those cable railings looked great they did look like a lot of tedious work. I hope they can streamline the build process cuz that looked like a huge pain.

I love seeing the modular workbenches in action here. Such an easy build to help with a more complex build.

Just finished building the first one, as a noob to woodworking with very little tools this came out pretty good though my cross members were too short to get across properly. I’m wondering if it’s because you used the planar which would make the main boards thinner? The only modification I made was the height cutting the green and red pieces to 31.5” and 24.5” instead of 34.5 and 27.5 to make it shorter. I was going for standard counter height but it still ended up being 37.5” high so I didn’t go short enough. The casters are good but larger than I thought. Still came out rock solid but I did not anticipate the overall weight. It may not work so well in the trade shows. I would also recommend doing a short on how to position and work the pocket hole kit cuz it was def hard to use those budget ones for the entire build. It likes to slide around and move even with the clamp on it tight. I had a few that poked thru the countertop cuz they weren’t done right.

Nice build. 3d printing and sawdust don’t go well together. Fine saw dust on the bed messes up adhesion, dust on your filament spools messes up extrusion, etc…. Make a good enclosure, or put it in a seperate room.

I add little rubber feet to the bottom of the planter so the wooden base can dry out and last longer.
